Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Perfect for high penetration in soft to medium hard and fissured rock formations. Operates best with low to medium air pressures and provides excellent hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

The versatile choice for medium hard and homogeneous rock formations. Offers balanced hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Suitable for high penetration in soft to medium-hard rocks with low to medium air pressures. Best at resisting steel wash, potentially reducing load and wear on gauge buttons, though less effective in controlling hole deviation.
