Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard, fissured rock formations. Suitable for low to medium air pressures with maximum control over hole deviation.

2. Concave Face

A versatile face for all-around applications, perfect for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Offers excellent hole deviation control and superior flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration in soft to medium-hard formations under low to medium air pressures. Offers resistance to steel wash and reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, though provides moderate hole deviation control.
