Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Excellent for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Operates efficiently at low to medium air pressures with superior hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

An all-encompassing application bit face, perfect for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Provides excellent hole deviation control with superior flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard environments, functioning well with low to medium air pressures. Offers robust resistance to steel wash, potentially reducing load and wear on the gauge buttons, albeit with less than optimal hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Designed for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, especially in high air pressure applications. Ensures good penetration rates and strong resistance to steel wash.
