Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Best performance at low to medium air pressures. Ensures maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

Versatile bit face for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Offers excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rocks with low to medium air pressures. Most resistant to steel wash, reducing load and wear on gauge buttons, though with lower hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Perfect for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, especially at high air pressures. Ensures good penetration rates and high resistance to steel wash.
