Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard, fissured rock formations. Operates effectively under low to medium air pressures, providing excellent hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

Designed for versatile applications in medium-hard, homogeneous rock formations. Offers excellent hole deviation control and superior flushing capacity, making it a reliable choice across various scenarios.

3. Convex Face

Engineered for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock under low to medium air pressures. This design enhances resistance to steel wash, minimizes load and wear on gauge buttons, but offers less control over hole deviation.

4. Flat Face

Optimized for drilling in very hard and abrasive rock formations, especially under high air pressures. This face shape provides excellent penetration rates and robust resistance to steel wash.
