Designed for all-around applications in medium hard and homogeneous rock formations, the concave face bit provides good hole deviation control and flushing capacity.
The convex face bit offers high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations with low to medium air pressures. It is resistant to steel wash and reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, although it may have poor hole deviation control.
Suitable for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations with high air pressures, the flat face bit provides good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
