Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Operates efficiently at low to medium air pressures, with excellent control of hole deviation.

2. Concave Face

A versatile bit face ideal for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations, offering good hole deviation control and flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

For high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations, effective at low to medium air pressures. Highly resistant to steel wash, reducing load and wear on gauge buttons, but with limited hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Optimal for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, especially with high air pressures. Provides good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
