2. Concave Face: This all-around application bit face is specifically designed for medium hard and homogeneous rock formations. It provides good hole deviation control and has a high flushing capacity.


3. Convex Face: Suitable for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock formations with low to medium air pressures. It is highly resistant to steel wash and reduces load and wear on the gauge buttons. However, it may have poor hole deviation control.


4. Flat Face: Designed for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, this face shape performs well under high air pressures. It offers good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
