Bit Face Shape Selection Guide:
1. Drop Center Bit
Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium hard and fissured rock formations. Suitable for low to medium air pressures with excellent hole deviation control.
2. Concave Face
A versatile bit face for medium hard and homogeneous rock formations, offering good hole deviation control and effective flushing capacity.
3. Convex Face
Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations with low to medium air pressures. Provides resistance to steel wash and reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, though it offers less control over hole deviation.
4. Flat Face
Suitable for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, especially with high air pressures. Ensures good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
Materials Used:
First-class special alloy steel known for its high strength, heat resistance, and wearability.
Carbide Options:
Premium tungsten carbides sourced from China are commonly used.
European tungsten carbide options are also available for enhanced performance.
