Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Designed for high penetration in soft to medium-hard, fissured rock formations using low to medium air pressures. It offers optimal hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

An all-purpose bit face ideal for medium-hard, homogeneous rock formations. It provides excellent hole deviation control and effective flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Perfect for high penetration in soft to medium-hard conditions using low to medium air pressures. It offers high resistance to steel wash, reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, but has poor hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Ideal for hard to very hard, abrasive rock formations with high air pressures. It provides good penetration rates and excellent resistance to steel wash.
