Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium hard and fissured rock formations, using low to medium air pressures. It offers excellent hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

A versatile choice for medium hard and uniform rock formations, providing excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration in soft to medium-hard rocks using low to medium air pressures. Offers resistance to steel wash, reducing load and wear on the gauge buttons, but has poor hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Perfect for drilling in hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations with high air pressures. It delivers strong penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
