Bit Face Shape Selection:
1. Drop Center Bit
Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations, with low to medium air pressures, ensuring maximum hole deviation control.
2. Concave Face
A versatile bit face, specifically designed for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations, offering excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.
3. Convex Face
Perfect for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations with low to medium air pressures. It offers the highest resistance to steel wash and can reduce load and wear on gauge buttons, though it has poor hole deviation control.
4. Flat Face
This face shape is best suited for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations in high air pressure applications. It ensures good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
Steel:
Utilization of first-class special alloy steel with high strength, heat resistance, and wearability.
Carbide:
The finest tungsten carbides from China are commonly used.
European tungsten carbide options are also available.
