Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard, fissured rock formations. Suited to low to medium air pressures, it offers maximum control over hole deviation.

2. Concave Face

A versatile choice for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations, providing excellent hole deviation control and effective flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration in soft to medium-hard formations with low to medium air pressures. Offers strong resistance to steel wash and reduces wear on gauge buttons, though it has poor hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Optimal for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, suitable for high air pressure applications. Delivers good penetration rates and high resistance to steel wash.
