Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations, working effectively under low to medium air pressures while providing maximum control over hole deviation.

2. Concave Face

A versatile bit face designed for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations, offering effective hole deviation control and excellent flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Perfect for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations under low to medium air pressures. It is highly resistant to steel wash, reducing the load and wear on gauge buttons, though it offers poorer hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

This face shape excels in hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, particularly in high air pressure applications. It provides good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
