Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration in soft to medium-hard, fissured rock formations. Functions optimally under low to medium air pressures, ensuring maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

Versatile for medium-hard, homogeneous rock formations. Offers good hole deviation control and excellent flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Perfect for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rocks with low to medium air pressures. Offers significant resistance to steel wash, reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, but with less efficiency in hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Designed for hard to very hard, abrasive rock formations, especially effective with high air pressures. Delivers impressive penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
