Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium hard and fissured rock formations. Functions optimally with low to medium air pressures, offering maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

This versatile bit face is perfect for medium hard and homogeneous rock formations, providing excellent hole deviation control and robust flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Engineered for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock with low to medium air pressures. Offers superior resistance to steel wash, potentially reducing load and wear on the gauge buttons, albeit with less effective hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Designed for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations under high air pressures, this face shape ensures excellent penetration rates and robust resistance to steel wash.
