Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Optimal for low to medium air pressures, it ensures maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

Ideal for all-around application in medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. It offers excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Perfect for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations with low to medium air pressures. This shape is highly resistant to steel wash, reducing load and wear on gauge buttons, though it provides less hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Best suited for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations under high air pressures. This face shape ensures good penetration rates and steel wash resistance.
