Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations under low to medium air pressures. Ensures maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

The versatile bit face for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Provides excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Best suited for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock, under low to medium air pressures. Offers superior resistance to steel wash, reducing load and wear on gauge buttons, though with less precision in hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Designed for hard to extremely hard and abrasive rock formations, especially under high air pressures. Ensures excellent penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
