Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fractured rock formations. Operates efficiently under low to medium air pressures, offering maximum control over hole deviation.

2. Concave Face

A versatile bit face suitable for medium-hard and uniform rock formations. Provides excellent hole deviation control and impressive flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock under low to medium air pressures. This face shape resists steel wash effectively, reducing load and wear on the gauge buttons, though it offers limited hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Perfect for hard to extremely hard and abrasive rock formations, especially under high air pressures. Ensures robust penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
