Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations with low to medium air pressures. It offers outstanding hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

This versatile bit face is perfect for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. It provides excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rocks using low to medium air pressures. It offers maximum resistance to steel wash, reducing load and wear on gauge buttons, though it has limited hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Best suited for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations, especially in high air pressure applications. It ensures good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
