Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Works best with low to medium air pressures and provides excellent hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

Perfect for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. It offers excellent hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations, using low to medium air pressures. It resists steel wash effectively, reducing wear on gauge buttons, though it offers lower hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Best suited for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations under high air pressures. This face shape ensures good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
