Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Perfect for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Operates under low to medium air pressures with maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

An all-around bit face for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Offers excellent hole deviation control and flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock, with low to medium air pressures. Highly resistant to steel wash, reducing load and wear on gauge buttons but has poor hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Best suited for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations with high air pressures. Provides good penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
