Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Ideal for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Suitable for low to medium air pressures, offering maximum control over hole deviation.

2. Concave Face

A versatile bit face designed for medium-hard, homogeneous rock formations. Ensures excellent hole deviation control and flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Suitable for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard formations with low to medium air pressures. Highly resistant to steel wash, it reduces load and wear on gauge buttons but offers less hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Best suited for hard to very hard, abrasive rock formations under high air pressures. Provides good penetration rates and strong resistance to steel wash.
