Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit:

Ideal for achieving high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations. Operates at low to medium air pressures. Provides excellent hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face:

The versatile bit face designed for medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Ensures good hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face:

Perfect for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rock formations under low to medium air pressures. Offers the highest resistance to steel wash, reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, but offers less hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face:

Best suited for hard to very hard and abrasive rock formations with high air pressures. Delivers excellent penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
