Bit Face Shape Selection:

1. Drop Center Bit

Designed for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations, suitable for low to medium air pressures, offering maximum hole deviation control.

2. Concave Face

Ideal for all-around applications, specifically in medium-hard and homogeneous rock formations. Offers good hole deviation control and efficient flushing capacity.

3. Convex Face

Perfect for high penetration rates in soft to medium-hard rocks at low to medium air pressures. It resists steel wash well, reduces load and wear on gauge buttons, but offers poor hole deviation control.

4. Flat Face

Suitable for hard to very hard, abrasive rock formations, especially with high air pressures. It provides excellent penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.
